Maxie Mayhem
Beta Privacy Policy

Last updated

The current game does not require a Joebed Arts account. Your garage collection and game progress are saved on your Mac. TestFlight diagnostics and any feedback you send are handled as explained below.

Who this policy covers

Joebed Arts develops Maxie Mayhem. This policy explains how we handle information for the Maxie Mayhem macOS beta, its TestFlight testing, this privacy page, and feedback sent directly to us. It does not describe unrelated Joebed Arts projects or replace the policies of Apple or other services you choose to use.

Privacy contact: JoebedArts@gmail.com.

Information we handle

Game data on your Mac

The current beta saves garage collection and gameplay progress locally. It does not upload those saves to a Joebed Arts cloud account. The game has no Joebed Arts account signup, advertising tracker, or separate in-game analytics service in this version.

Apple TestFlight

When you test through TestFlight, Apple collects and shares beta usage and crash information with the developer. This can include app and device details, sessions, and crash reports. Feedback you submit through TestFlight can also include screenshots, comments, and contact information. What the developer can see depends on how you joined the beta and what you submit.

Apple handles its own collection under the Apple Privacy Policy and TestFlight Terms.

Feedback and support

If you email us, we receive your email address, the name your email service provides, your message, and any files or recordings you attach. Please avoid including passwords, payment details, or other people's personal information in feedback or screenshots.

This website

Our hosting providers process technical connection information, such as IP address and request details, to deliver and protect this page. This page uses limited, cookie-free website analytics described in the Website Privacy Policy, including browser exclusion choices. It does not add advertising cookies. This website analytics does not track activity inside the beta game.

Optional community profiles

Website community profiles are planned but are not enabled yet. They are not required to play the beta. We will update this policy before enabling profile signup or collecting profile information. Website profiles will not automatically sync with game progress.

How we use it

We use beta diagnostics and feedback to investigate bugs, improve performance and gameplay, manage testing, respond to support requests, and protect our services. Where privacy law requires a legal basis, we rely on the applicable basis for the activity, such as providing requested support, our legitimate interest in improving and securing the beta, or consent where required.

Playing the beta or sending feedback does not sign you up for marketing emails. Optional news and promotional updates will require a separate choice. We do not sell beta testers' personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

Who receives it

Information may be handled by Joebed Arts and providers used for beta distribution, website hosting, email, and support. Apple operates TestFlight; Google handles messages sent to our Gmail contact address; OpenAI Sites and its hosting infrastructure deliver this page.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal requests, or protect people and our services. Providers may process information in countries other than yours, under their own applicable safeguards and policies.

Your choices

You can stop testing through TestFlight and stop sending optional feedback at any time. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold by emailing JoebedArts@gmail.com. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to portability, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, or a complaint to your local privacy authority.

We may need to verify that a request is yours without asking for more information than necessary. Some information may need to be retained for legal or security reasons. Requests about information held independently by Apple should also be directed to Apple.

Your local game saves are under your control on your Mac; removing a beta app may not remove all saved files. Contact us if you need help locating them.

Retention and security

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above, including resolving feedback and meeting legal or security obligations. We review information when it is no longer needed and delete or de-identify it where appropriate. Apple's retention of TestFlight information is controlled by Apple.

We use reasonable safeguards and limit access to information needed for development and support. No service or method of transmission is completely secure.

Younger players

This beta is not intended for children under 13 or the applicable minimum age in their region. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can review it and take appropriate action.

Changes and contact

As Maxie Mayhem develops, its features may change. We will revise this page when our information practices change and update the date above. For material changes, we will provide additional notice or request consent where required.
